The Winchester Village Improvement Assosication volume is an annual report for 16 Sept 1885, a financial statement for prize money given at an exhibition/ program of 17 Sept 1891, their constitution (undated) and the menu card and program bulletin for 6 March 1890. There is a separate pamphlet on the origin of the association from the Winchester Record newspaper of 1886.

1000.11 - Adelphia Club Records

The Adelphian Club was a literary society open to forty men and women. Its purpose was to promate a more friendly and intimate acquaintance among its members and to provide a means of their social entertainment and culture. The volume contains their constitution and by-laws and the signatures of the original members in their own hand. The first officers were: president Alfred C. Vinton, secretary Etta C. Wheeler and treasurer Herbert Dwinell. Meetings were held in Rangeley Hall on the property of David Nelson Skillings. Sometimes the name of the organization was called the Back Log Club referring to where they met - another name for Rangeley Hall.

1000.12 - Jeffersonian Legislature of Winchester Records

The Jeffersonian Legislature of Winchester records cover its inception in 1874 until 29 March 1875. The volume contains loose letters - one from Charles L. Harrington to Cora Quimby dated 17 Jan 1923 in which he said he is sending the volume to her. He enclosed a brochure advertising his popular science lectures. This is inserted in the volume. There is also a letter from Cora Quimby to him acknowledging the receipt of the record book.

This is a full size reproduction of p. 6 of the June 2, 1939 Winchester Star. It is the proposed plan of Ginn Field with the 1895 report submitted by the Winchester Park Commissioners - Forrest C. Manchester, David N. Skillings and Louis Goddu. Lewis Parkhurst adds commentary on the report and why the field should be named for Mr. Ginn. The plan was drawn by Parker Holbrook, town engineer, May 5, 1938. This reprint is encapsulated in polyester.
