Description |
The Town created a park at Main and Lake streets (later named Elliott Park) by acquiring and demolishing Main Street properties backing onto the pond (shown in 1200.10.134) in 1929, grading the site in 1930, and laying out and planting in 1931. This view shows the park under construction, looking south from the intersection of Main Street and Lake Street. In the left background is the steeple of the Congregational Church. |
