The William Parkman Lodge records contain several membership lists, bylaws, and biographical sketches of some its members written in 1914, and the history of the lodge written on the occasion of their 140th anniversary in May 2004. |
Admin/Biographical History |
The lodge was founded in January 1864 and their meetings were held in the Lyceum Building. It is named after William Parkman, of Boston, who was presiding Grand Master at the time. On May 26, 1914 they celebrated their 25th anniversary and that week's issue of the Winchester Star featured the event and many of its members. |
