| Scope & Content | This collection contains black and white photographs, negatives, and two maps of the Boston Metropolitan era produced by William A. Withington when preparing for his dissertation, Land Use and Change in a Residential Suburb: Winchester, Massachusetts, 1930-1950. The collection contains many scenes of Winchester, including pictures of schools, businesses, railways, and houses. The photographs provide insight into the natural and built landscapes of Winchester and the surrounding areas during the middle of the twentieth century. |
