This collection contains images of fire equipment owned by the town of Winchester, including hand-drawn reels to modern-day engines, ladder trucks, rescue trucks and lighting trucks. There are also photographs of fireman, fires in Winchester, a Memorial Day parade and the funeral procession of retired Chief I. Francis Amico. The latter two were accessioned in 2007. In addition, Fire Chief Nash donated a small collection of photographs once belonging to Donald Young, who was once the fire department's photographer. The photographs contain images of local fires and fire equipment. Many of the photographs have John Cleary's handwriting on the back. Also of note are photographs of the America La France ladder truck, which Cleary donated to the Archival Center in 2010. |
