Winchester, England, by Jennie Sanderson, manuscript, 13 pp., read before the Winchester Historical & Genealogical Society on March 8, 1888. The manuscript. Stamped by the Society, is undated but the date is given in a newspaper copy. Lydia Jane Sanderson, a life-long resident (Nov. 25 1848 - Feb. 10, 1948), was a teacher in state schools and, after retirement, opened a private school in Winchester. The Story of Winchester's Historical Markers by Lydia J. Sanderson, delivered at the Fortnightly Preservation of Antiques Committee's West Side Neighborhood Day, manuscript, 22 pp., undated, deals with markers installed in 1930 |
