Description |
Demolition of the Alexis Cutting House, formerly at 84 Washington Street, next to the Public Library. Built about 1849, it first belonged to a Mr. Kelley. Cutting bought it about 1865-1871. After his widow's death in 1913, his heirs sold it to the Town. It also served as the home of the American Legion (1921-1946), school administration (1946-1957), and the Red Cross (1957-1967). |
